Brisbane 2 Byron Express Bus staff

Share the ride and save the planet.

Our vehicles are more than just well-oiled machines, they are like members of our family. We strive to keep the engines that power our buses as clean as their air-conditioned interiors. An efficient engine is good for the environment and catching public transport is the easiest way to reduce your carbon emissions.

Your trip should start off on the right note.

If you're travelling from Brisbane to Byron our friendly drivers and comfortable seats will get you in that laid back Byron vibe. Maybe you're leaving the Bay and heading to Brisbane. Let us take care of the driving and chill out before rejoining the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle.

Baggage charges... No Way!

Our family loves the outdoors and we can't stand excess baggage charges. That's why surfboards, bikes and your extra luggage all travel free in our spacious trailers.

We can't wait to meet you.

We think you’ll love our bus service as much as we do - we can’t wait to be part of your journey.

Complaining about the weather over the last fortnight has been put into perspective. Our thoughts go out to the people in the path of cyclone Debbie. Stay safe, we'll be there to support you when it passes. This timelapse is from a simpler time when all there was to worry about was whether your clothes were going to dry out on the hills hoist.

World Science Festival Brisbane 2017

#WSFBrisbane will once again bring together the world’s best thought leaders to produce a stunning program of live and digital content that connects Asia-Pacific audiences of all ages with the concepts, challenges, discoveries and advancements that are shaping our world.

The luminaries of the science world will present the beauty, complexity, and importance of science through diverse, multidisciplinary programming that is the World Science Festival signature. The World Science Festival Brisbane will take place between 22 and 26 March 2017 and is presented by the Queensland Museum and the Queensland Government, in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland and Brisbane Marketing.

Program highlights:

Gravitational Waves: See how gravitational waves will be used to explore the universe like never before.

Constellations: A beekeeper and a quantum physicist – the odds of them getting together are astronomical.

The Hatchery: View baby Loggerhead Turtles hatching from eggs that are incubated onsite and timed to emerge during the festival.

Street Science: Come along and participate in hands-on activities and explore the science behind robots, fossils, bubbles, slime, spiders, solar energy, drones, augmented reality, experiments and even explosions!

Explore the program and plan your festival: http://www.worldsciencefestival.com.au/

The World Science Festival is a production of the Science Festival Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation headquartered in New York City. The Foundation’s mission is to cultivate a general public informed by science, inspired by its wonder, convinced of its value, and prepared to engage with its implications for the future.
